After graduating from the University of Southern California, Jennifer Rubendall entered the field of health and fitness where, twenty years later she achieved a certification to teach in the prestigious Romana’s Pilates Method.
Today, Jennifer co-owns Urban Army Pilates Studio in La Canada Flintridge, California. Utilizing a complete array of Gratz Pilates equipment, she trains a large client base in this exclusive Pilates method.
Along with her business partner, Don Pugsley, Jennifer also operates an early morning exercise boot camp program at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California.

Urban Army co-owner, Don Pugsley has spent the last 25 years in parallel careers. Working as an RN in a metropolitan hospital and as a Sergeant Major in the Army Airborne Reserve, Don has seen the results of both healthy and unhealthy lifestyles. With a unique blend of medical and military experience, Don provides guidance, motivation and results to those clients who seek a healthier and more fit lifestyle.
A member of the screen actors guild since 1983, Don’s most recent credits include; the television shows “ER” and “Boston Legal” and Stephen Soderberg’s “The Good German”, starring George Clooney and Kate Blanchett . Don holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Iowa and an Associate of Science in Registered Nursing degree from Glendale Community College. Currently, Don is enrolled at UCLA in the Fitness Trainer Certification Program.
